NRL Round 3 2020
The struggling Cowboys will have to improve significantly to have any chance of taking on and defeating the Roosters but they will also know that the Roosters come into this game on the back of a tough extra time loss to Melbourne.
It will be interested to see how the Chucks react to that but with the quality and experience that they have, there should be no issues and this should be a comfortable return to winning ways.
Prediction: Sydney Roosters by 14
Kick Off: 09:00
Venue: Cbus Super Stadium (Robina)
2 struggling sides meet on the Gold Coast but whilst the hosts are still looking for a boost, the Warriors do come into this one on the back of a big win last time out and with both teams evenly matched, that confidence could prove the difference in what will likely be a close but scrappy game.
Prediction: New Zealand Warriors by 6
South Sydney will be looking to build on their big win last at the Doggies but despite Wests losing to the Panthers, the nominal home side will have to improve to have any chance against the Tigers.
Whilst we do expect a big improvement from both sides, we can only see a Wests win in this one.
Prediction: Wests Tigers by 10
Both Cronulla and Penrith come into the game on the back of big wins but the Panthers have shown this season that they are a team to beat and the Sharkies have shown that they just don’t have the consistency to take on the top teams.
Prediction: Penrith Panthers by 10
Kick Off: 08:30
Venue: Suncorp Stadium (Brisbane)
In a battle of the 2 NRL strugglers, this could easily be a battle to avoid the wooden spoon this year.
With both teams lacking confidence, we are expecting a scrappy game and one that will likely be not an easy watch but with all of the pressure on the Broncos, we expect them to have a player that steps up.
Prediction: Brisbane Broncos by 4
The Melbourne Storm get a chance to gain revenge for their loss at home to the Raiders in the first game of the return but a lot has happened since then.
Both teams come into the game on the back of a win but the Storm had to do it the toughest way possible with an extra time come from behind win agaisnt the Roosters, so it will be interested to see how they react to that.
We are going to back the Raiders who will be glad to be back at home, especially with the Storm up routed at the moment but we do expect a close game in which we wouldn’t be surprised by a win for either side.
Prediction: Canberra Raiders by 6
Kick Off: 07:05
Venue: Campbelltown Stadium (Sydney)
2 of the most exciting teams in the competition meet as the 4th placed Knights take on the top of the table Eels and whilst we are going to back the Eels for the win ads they have the more threats across the park, we wouldn’t be surprised by a win for the Knights in what should be a great game.
Prediction: Parramatta Eels by 6
Kick Off: 09:30
Venue: Netstrata Jubilee Stadium (Sydney)
The struggling Dragons go into this one knowing that if they are to turn there season around, they simply must win this derby game but whilst Manly struggle for consistency, they have the better quality and the more attacking threats so we can only see a win for the Sea Eagles in this one.
Prediction: Manly Sea Eagles by 8
