Challenge Cup Round 5 2021

Kick Off: 18:00
Venue: New Craven Park (Hull)

Hull KR welcome the Cas Tigers for a great looking match up that will certainly have lots of attacking flair and skill on show but with the Tigers been so much stronger in defence, it is difficult to look past an away win in this one.
Prediction: Castleford Tigers by 10

Kick Off: 19:45
Venue: LNER Stadium (York)

York open up their new stadium with a glamour tie against Wigan but unfortunately there will be no fans in attendance but despite that, the hosts will be up for this one and will make things tough for the Warriors in the early going.
The hosts have a number of ex Super League stars and will be able to match the Warriors for fitness but there is a gulf in class and that will shine through in the second half and the Warriors should pull away to a comfortable win.
Prediction: Wigan Warriors by 16

Kick Off: 12:30
Venue: AJ Bell Stadium (Salford)

Salford have made an up and down start to the Super League season but they will be the big favourites against their near neighbours Widnes, who have only had 1 competitive game to date and despite an entertaining 30-30 draw against Newcastle, it did highlights their defences frailties and that should play into the advantage of the hosts.
Salford have the more quality, the better fitness and are more game ready, so after a close start, they should pull away to a comfortable win.
Prediction: Salford Red Devils by 10

Kick Off: 14:30
Venue: Totally Wicked Stadium (St Helens)

Saints welcome the Leeds Rhinos meet in the glamour tie of the round that can be watched live on BBC tv and what a great match up it is for tv coverage.
Leeds have lots of quality and are finding a way to grind out results despite missing some players but Saints have started the season as the team to beat and they are living up to that billing, so it is difficult to look past a home win but we would not be hugely shocked by a Leeds win.
Prediction: St Helens by 8

Kick Off: 17:00
Venue: Totally Wicked Stadium (St Helens)

The Dragons have had to give up home advantage once more as they take on Trinity at St Helens home ground but they should be well used to that by now and so long as they can keep their composure and keep 13 men on the field at all times, the Dragons should have too much quality for a Trinity side struggling in attack.
Prediction: Catalans Dragons by 12
Kick Off: 19:00
Venue: Post Office Road (Featherstone)
Featherstone have had a number of issues away from the field to distract them and when facing one of the top Super League clubs, that is the also thing that a Championship side needs.
Unfortunately, the fall out form that and the extra quality in the Black and White side should make for a comfortable away win in what should be an entertaining game.
Prediction: Hull FC by 16
Kick Off: 12:30
Venue: Heywood Road (Sale)
Swinton will be glad to have this glamour tie against one of the top teams in the country but it will be a tough afternoon of action for them as we expect Warrington to dominate throughout and to win comfortably in a game that will be one of the ones to really miss a crowd.
Prediction: Warrington Wolves by 24
Kick Off: 14:30
Venue: LSV (Leigh)
Leigh and Huddersfield round of the weekend of cup ties and it is a fitting match up to have that job as we expect this one to be a close game.
Both teams have struggled in the early rounds of the Super League so both will be wanting to pick up a confidence boost in this one and whilst it is a game that could easily go either way, the Giants have the extra quality that could make the difference, especially if they can get some of their top names back.
Prediction: Huddersfield Giants by 10
