The Salford Red Devils welcome Hull Kingston Rovers from East Yorkshire to the North West of England for a match that will likely have a massive say on the outcome of the season for both clubs.
The main goal for both of these 2 clubs going into every season is to simply stay safe and avoid relegation, which just adds to the importance of each and every match between the 2 sides.
On paper, both club shave evenly matched squads so we could be all set for a great battle and who can forget some of the instant classics that these 2 have given us recently including that iconic Million Pound Game?

Stadium
Salford left there long time home at the Willows for their new AJ Bell home back in 2012 and ever since then they have struggled to improve attendance but one issue they have not struggled with is in producing a great atmosphere.
The ground offers a mix of corporate facilities as well as seating and standing areas for fans that helps to produce a great setting for a game such as this one.

History
As two of the most historic Rugby League clubs in the country and with both based in the sports heartlands, it is surprising just how few big matches these 2 have played in down the years, although the battle for survival/promotion they played out in 2016 more than made up for that lack of action.
In that year, the 2 faced off in the Million Pound Game to determine who would be playing in the Super League the next season and who would be playing in the Championship.
That was the perfect set up for a great game of Rugby as the players new that they would have to give their all from minute 1 to minute 80 and that is exactly what each and every player did, plus much more.
In the end the teams could barely be separated and with the score at 18-18, up set Gareth O’Brien with a drop goal attempt to win the game for Salford and break the hearts of most fans on the terraces in East Yorkshire.
