Stadium
The DW Stadium is the home of the Warriors and on its day, it is one of the most atmospheric stadiums in the Super League.
As one of the biggest grounds in terms of capacity and with the stadium been all seater due to sharing with the towns football team, the ground can struggle for atmosphere when it is not near full capacity but that is nothing to worry about when Warrington are in town.
With a huge home following and a massive away following, both teams can expect a great backing and neutrals can expect a great atmosphere to give the stars on show the perfect setting to show us their quality.

History
These 2 north-west long time rivals have had a long history of success and challenging for honours which has led to them battling it out over titles and trophies throughout the years but it has been during the summer-era when a number of those big matches have taken place.
The 2 side met in the 2013 Super League Grand Final where over 66,000 fans at Old Trafford watched the Warriors win the title by 30 points to 16.
The 2 met in the Grand Final once again in the 2016 season where it was Wigan who once again prevailed but this time it was a closer affair as they ran out 12-6 winners in front of over 70,000 fans.
Wigan competed a hat-trick of Grand Final wins against the Wolves in 2018 when they ran out 12-4 winners in front of almost 65,000 fans at the ‘Theatre of Dreams’.
The history of both clubs in big matches against each other goes back much further than the current era however as they faced off in the Rugby Football League Championship First Division final all of the way back in the 1925-26 season when it was Wigan who ran out the winners by 22 points to 10 to become the champions of England.
The 2 sides have also faced off in major cup matches including the 1989-90 Challenge Cup final when it was Wigan who came away from Wembley Stadium with the cup after a dominant 36 points to 14 victory.
