St Helens v Hull KR Preview
St Helens welcome Hull Kingston Rovers from one side of the M62 to other for this Merseyside vs East Yorkshire clash that will have a huge say on things at both ends of the table.
The Saints of St Helens are a club built for success and who have everything they need to deliver on that and thankfully for their supporters, that is something that they do time and time again.
Unfortunately for fans of Hull KR they have become somewhat of a yo-yo team who are too good for the Championship but who continue to struggle in the Super League.
On paper the Robins are a team with lots of potential and they certainly have the quality to shock a team such as St Helens but the Saints are not just good on paper, they are good where it really counts and that is out on the field.

Stadium
The Totally Wicked Stadium is host for this game and as one of the most modern rugby stadiums in the country, it is a fitting home for a club the stature of Saints.
With a good mix of seating, standing and corporate, the ground creates a strong atmosphere for most matches but especially when a big backing for the opposition are in town.
The Robins fans normally travel well so the players should have they need to give us a great match up and one with the potential for a huge shock.

History
These two historic clubs have much more than there playing colours in common as they have a long, storied and often shared history, including many big matches and famous moments.
In the 1984-85 season, the 2 battled it out over the Rugby Football League Championship First Division and in the end it was Rovers who came out on top and picked up the league title to become champions of England whilst it was Saints who were left in the runners up spot.
In 1975, the 2 sides met in the final of the BBC2 Floodlit Trophy when it was the Robins who came out on top by 26-11 to win up the trophy in front of their own fans at Craven Park.
