NRL Round 20 2020

Date: Thursday 24th September 2020
Brisbane Broncos
Brisbane Broncos v North Queensland Cowboys
Kick Off: 10:50
Venue: Suncorp Stadium (Brisbane)
North Queensland Cowboys

Brisbane and the Cowboys have nothing on the line aside from finishing the season on a high and having the bragging rights for Queensland heading into the off season but after such disappointing seasons for both clubs, that is a huge fall from grace from the incredible play-offs and final matches we have seen over the past decade.

As you would expect form both teams this years, both sides come into the game out of form and on the back of bad losses but with the Broncos at home and looking to avoid the wooden spoon, we are going to back them or the winning what will likely be a scrappy game.

Prediction: Brisbane Broncos by 6

Date: Friday 25th September 2020
Gold Coast Titans
Gold Coast Titans v Newcastle Knights
Kick Off: 09:00
Venue: CBUS Super Stadium (Robina)
Newcastle Knights

The Titans have had a great season by their own standards and have only just missed out on the top 8 after a strong end to the season.

It is they who come into the game as the form team after winning 4 of their last 5 but Newcastle are also in good form and are looking to keep confidence going ahead of the end of season finals.

With that said, the Titans continue to excel and in their last game of the season we are going to back them for another small shock win in what should be a high scoring and entertaining game.

Prediction: Gold Coast Titans by 4

South Sydney Rabbitohs
South Sydney Rabbitohs v Sydney Roosters
Kick Off: 10:55
Venue: ANZ Stadium (Sydney)
Watch Live
Sydney Roosters

The Rabbitohs welcome the Roosters for the big city derby from the NRL and whilst both teams are all set for the end of season finals (play-offs), it is the Roosters who have all of the form and confidence and it is them who we are going to back for the win.

Prediction: Sydney Roosters by 8

Date: Saturday 26th September 2020
Canterbury Bulldogs
Canterbury Bulldogs v Penrith Panthers
Kick Off: 06:00
Venue: ANZ Stadium (Sydney)
Penrith Panthers

The Bulldogs may well need a win to avoid the wooden spoon so they will be hoping that the Panthers let up after picking up the Minor Premiership but with confidence so important ahead of the end of season finals, we just cannot see that and that should lead to a comfortable win for the table topping Panthers.

Prediction: Penrith Panthers by 10

Cronulla Sharks
Cronulla Sharks v Canberra Raiders
Kick Off: 08:30
Venue: Jubilee Stadium (Sydney)
Watch Live
Canberra Raiders

Cronulla take on the inform Canberra and with both teams all set for the finals, this is a great chance to get a confidence boost but it is the Raiders who have impressed towards the end of season and it is the Green Machine we are going to back for the win.

Prediction: Canberra Raiders by 10

Wests Tigers
Wests Tigers v Parramatta Eels
Kick Off: 10:35
Venue: Bankwest Stadium (Sydney)
Watch Live
Parramatta Eels

Wests and Parramatta meet in a Sydney derby but all of the expectation is on Parramatta as they look to wrap up a top 4 finish and build confidence against the team they share their home ground with, who have nothing but local bragging rights to play for.

Prediction: Parramatta Eels by 10

Date: Sunday 27th September 2020
New Zealand Warriors
New Zealand Warriors v Manly Sea Eagles
Kick Off: 05:00
Venue: Central Coast Stadium (Gosford)
Manly Sea Eagles

There is little to nothing to play for in this game between 2 sides struggling for form and motivation but after a season to forget for New Zealand and one that the whole sport should thank them for their sacrifices, we are going to back them for the win to at least end their season on a high.

Prediction: New Zealand Warriors by 10

St George Illawarra Dragons
St George Illawarra Dragons v Melbourne Storm
Kick Off: 07:05
Venue: Jubille Stadium (Sydney)
Melbourne Storm

The Dragons have nothing to play for and have struggled all season long so it will come as no surprise that we are going to back the Storm for a big win to end the regular season on a high.

Prediction: Melbourne Storm by 14
