NRL Round Play-Offs Week 1 2022
Preview:
The table topping Penrith get to show us all their title credentials with a week 1 match up against the reigning and defending champions in what will likely be the tie of the round from the first week of the NRL play-offs.
Penrith have been the best team this season but the Roosters have all of the pedigree in knock out rugby, although both teams will get a second chance.
This one really is a flip of the coin but with the Panthers having so much belief heading into this one and in Nathan Cleary, they have the form half, we are going to back them for a narrow win.
Prediction: Penrith Panthers by 4
Preview:
The Raiders finished 5th whilst the Sharks finished 8th but this is another one that will be a flip of the coin.
Canberra will be without England’s Ryan Sutton due to injury but they still have most of their big names ready to show that they are just as good as last season when they came up just short.
With home advantage and with them also been the most consistent over the season, we are going to back the Green Machine for the win but we would not be too shocked by a Sharkies win.
Prediction: Canberra Raiders by 6
Preview:
The Eels have entertained for much of this season and they certainly have the more attacking threats but the Storm have done what they always do and that is have great defence and control the matches that they play in.
That is the sort of rugby that tends to pay dividends in play-off games so we are going to back Melbourne for the win.
Prediction: MelbourneStorm by 4

Kick Off: 06:00
Venue: ANZ Stadium (Sydney)

Preview:
The Knights started the season in great form but fell away somewhat whilst the Rabbitohs had a strong finish and come into this first round matchup of the finals full of confidence and belief after their shock win over the Roosters.
With confidence so important in these type of matches, we are going to back the Rabbits for the win.
Prediction: South Sydney Rabbitohs by 10
