Hull KR v St Helens Preview
Hull KR welcome St Helens from the west end of the M62 to the east end for a Super League clash that will likely have a big say on both ends of the season and could prove hugely important for both teams season.
Whilst the Robins tend to be one of those teams that when on form, they can be a threat to any other side, they are just too inconsistent so the Saints will know that they will have to perform to keep the hosts at bay in a game that many will make them the favourites in.
The Red and White side of Hull do tend to be a much tougher opposition in East Hull and that should make for a competitive give but whenever a team of the calibre and quality of Saints are playing, you know that if they perform at their best, any opponent will need to be almost perfect in their handling , defence and finishing but can Hull Kingston Rovers do that for the full 80 minutes?
Team News
Hull KR name the same squad that lost to Cas in the cup last time out.
The headline news for the giants is that star half back Aidan Sezer is named after missing out on the start of the season due to injury.
Stadium
New Craven Park may have changed names numerous times over the years and may not be the most glamourous of stadiums but it is one that has consistently seen improvements but most importantly it is aa stadium known for its fantastic atmosphere.
With the bulk of the home support in an all-standing stand down the far touchline, the hosts always have loud support no matter which end they are attacking and thanks to the great facilities now afforded to away supporters, there will likely be lots of Red Vee shirts in the stands to add to what should be a great game.
Hull KR v St Helens Prediction
Here at RLBet, we give out predict for who we think will win and also what we think the winning margin will be but don’t forget that the unpredictable nature of the Super League, this should only be seen as our view.
Prediction
Both teams will be looking for a season starting win but whilst Huddersfield will have the confidence from their cup run, Hull KR will be down from their loss against Cas in aa game that saw them play 19 minutes of extra time.
With that in mind, it is difficult to look past a win for the Giants, especially if Sezer plays and shows anything like last years form.
Score Prediction: Huddersfield Giants by 8
