Hull KR v Catalans Dragons Preview
Hull Kingston Rovers welcome the Catalans Dragons to East Yorkshire from the South of France for a game that will likely be as unpredictable on the field as it is to predict.
Both teams have lots of quality, with the Dragons having a number of international stars in their squad but for one reason or another, neither side can consistently play towards their full potential for the full 80 minutes.
If both do turn up this could be a fantastic match up but we are just as likely to get a one sided match with only one team turning up or even neither team turning up and this been a grind.

The ground is known for been a tricky place to play rugby due to the cold and gusty wind that often comes off of the Humber but one that is always warm is the welcome form the loud and vocal supporters of the Red and White side of Hull.

History
Although the two are yet to feature in a major final against each other, one match that stands out in the memory of anybody who was lucky enough to be there in attendance or who watched the game live on television, was the 2021 play-off semi-final between the 2 sides.
After Les Dracs dominated the regular season and Hull KR proved the shock outsiders, it all came down to a knock out match played in the South of France to determine who would face off against St Helens in the Grand Final at Old Trafford.
With both sides looking for their first appearance in the Old Trafford show piece event, it was only fitting that the Stade Gilbert Brutus was packed to the rafters with one of the loudest crowds ever seen in a play-off match.
Thankfully, the players lived up to the expectations and although the Dragons ultimately pulled away to a comfortable 28-10 win, it was a great spectacle throughout.
