Hull FC v Huddersfield Giants Preview
Hull FC welcome the Huddersfield Giants from West Yorkshire to East Yorkshire for a game between 2 evenly matched teams that is a tough one to predict.
Both the Airlie Birds and the Giants are amongst the teams looking to break into the top echelons of the sport and to be challenging for trophies but for one reason or another they have only joined that elite group sporadically.
To be able to bridge the gap, you have to be able to beat the other teams around you and that is what adds so much interest into this game.
When you add in two talented teams and a great venue and you have all you need for a great game of Rugby.

History
As you would expect from two of the most historic clubs based in the sports heartland of Yorkshire, the 2side shave met in a number of big matches down the years, on both the national and local level.
Even going back to the 1919-20 season, the 2 sides were amongst the biggest in the country as they met in the Championship final to determine the champions of England.
On that occasion It was Hull FC who ran out the narrowest of winners by 3 points to 2 to pick up the title.
That came a few years after the 2 sides met in the final of the Yorkshire Cup when Huddersfield defeated Hull 31 points to 0 to claim the 1914-15 cup.
It didn’t take long for the Black and Whites to gain revenge in that tournament when they met again in the final of the 1923-24 season in a game that Hull won 10 points to 4 in a match played at Headingley Stadium in Leeds.
In what was turning into a once a decade occasion at that point, the 2 met in the final of the 1938-39 Yorkshire Cup when it was Huddersfield who picked up the win by 18 points to 10 at Odsal Stadium in Bradford.
