Salford Red Devils v Huddersfield Giants Preview
The Salford Red Devils welcome the Huddersfield Giants for a match up that will have a huge say on the outcome of the season for both of these 2 teams.
With how competitive the Super League is there are a majority of teams who with a good run of form and with lots of confidence an enjoy a good run and push on for the play-offs whilst those same teams can also suffer from injuries and from a lack of form and find themselves struggling towards the bottom of the table and even get dragged into the relegation scrap.
Both teams have shown that recently with Salford reaching the 2019 Super League Grand Final whilst the Giants have gone from battling it out over titles and trophies to scrapping to avoid relegation in the now abandoned relegation play-offs.
With that in mind, it just adds an extra element and importance to matches between themselves as they will likely be battling it out over lower to mid table spots, the 2 points on offer could go towards proving the difference on an up and down season.
Salford have started the season with 1 win and 1 loss whilst the Giants have played just the 1 game but they put in one of the best performances of the season away at Catalans.
Salford make just he 1 change for this one with Mark Flanagan replacing former Giants star Sebastine Ikahihifoith.
The Giants name the same squad that was due to face Leeds last time out.
The AJ Bell Stadium plays host to this game and whilst it is a fine, modern stadium it can lack atmosphere and certainly on a match day such as this, it often feels like a pre-season friendly rather than an important Super League match up.
With that said, the home fans have shown that if their side give them something to cheer, they will get behind them.
Salford Red Devils v Huddersfield Giants Prediction
Here at RLBet, we give out predict for who we think will win and also what we think the winning margin will be but don’t forget that the unpredictable nature of the Super League, this should only be seen as our view.
This is a hugely difficult match to predict as Salford’s form has been up and down whilst the Giants have played very well this season but they have only played the 1 game.
If the Giants can match their round 1 performance, they will be a match for anybody, especially with the quality that they have in their squad.
On paper and from what we have seen so far, the away side have a lot more creativity in their squad and in what we expect to be a tight game, that will likely prove the difference so we are going to back the Giants for the win, although this is one of those games that could easily go either way.
