Leeds Rhinos v Huddersfield Giants Preview
The Leeds Rhinos welcome their West Yorkshire rivals, the Huddersfield Giants to the famous Headingley Stadium for a match that has great potential and one that is a tough one to predict.
This is a game that has given us some great moments over the last decade or so (who can forget THAT Ryan Hall try!) and with the quality on both sides of the field it has the potential to produce once again.
What makes this such an unpredictable game however is the fact that there is so much quality on both sides of the field that on their day, these 2 can be as good as anybody in Super League but both struggle for consistency over the 80 minutes and both are perhaps too reliant on individuals to produce match winning moments and performances.
The Rhinos come into the game in indifferent form with 3 wins from their last 5 outings and just 1 win in their last 3.
The Giants on the other hands have just 1 loss from their last 4 outings, although that did come last timeout at Salford.
Leeds are without the injured duo of Luke Gale and Konrad Hurrell and with Matt Prior still missing, they will be glad to welcome back Callum McClelland and King Vuniyayawa.
Huddersfield name a relatively settled squad that is boosted by the return of Lee Gaskell.
The match takes place at the iconic Headingley Stadium in North Leeds and what a great venue it is for this local derby.
The stadium is both one of the most historic stadiums in the country but it is also one of the most modern thanks to the massive levels of investments and improvements made in all aspects of Headingley.
Nowadays, the ground offers modern facilities including standing areas, seating areas and corporate facilities to rival any rugby specific stadium in the world and all of that gives the perfect setting for the players to give us 80 minutes of quality entertainment.
Leeds Rhinos v Huddersfield Giants Prediction
Here at RLBet, we give out predict for who we think will win and also what we think the winning margin will be but don’t forget that the unpredictable nature of the Super League, this should only be seen as our view.
These 2 are amongst the most unpredictable in the competition which makes it difficult to know which way this game will go.
On form they can match anybody but they also can come unstuck in a game that you would expect them to win, just as Huddersfield did last time out.
A lot of that is down to the number of changes both sides have had to make this season and that is the case once again for Leeds, so we are going to back the settled Giants, especially with the loss of Gale for Leeds.
