Lebanon v Ireland Preview

The Lebanese Cedars take on the Irish Wolfhounds in one of those matches that often get overlooked in the build up to a major tournament but as soon as the match kicks off, you know you could be in a match of the tournament contender.

Simply been out on the field of play is a huge achievement for the Cedars as they had to overcome a raging war at home just to qualify for the World Cup so they will likely not feel too much pressure when the game kicks off.

The same cannot be said for Ireland who have arguably the most expectation on them but as you would expect from a country that doesn’t play too regularly and who doesn’t get to put its best squad together until major event, the Irish are known for their inconsistent nature.

That sets this one up to be an intriguing game as you don’t really know what you will get from either side but it should be a tight battle throughout between two relatively evenly matched teams.
