Hull KR v Leigh Centurions Preview
Hull Kingston Rovers welcome the Leigh Centurions to East Hull for a game that will likely be close throughout and that will likely have a huge say on both of these 2 teams season’s.
Whilst both clubs have lots of quality and both can upset anybody on their day, for a season to be judge as a success for both clubs it will likely come down to matches between the 2 and the other teams involved in the scrap to avoid the wooden spoon.

Stadium
New Craven Park is the host of this game and whilst it may not be the largest ground in the competition, the great mix of new and old and seating and standing help create a fantastic atmosphere and makes it a tough place for any visiting team to come away with the points.

History
Although these 2 have a long and storied history, it has been since the turn of the Millennium when the clubs have become somewhat intertwined no matter what level they have met at.
When the 2 sides were in the 2nd tier, they were the giants of that level and met in a number of big matches including in the Championship Cup, where they met in both the 2005 and 2007 finals.
In 2005 it was the Centurions who ran out the winners at Spotland Stadium in Rochdale by a comfortable 42 points to 14.
The Robins won the event in 2005 but in 2006, when the 2 sides met in the final at Bloomfield Road in Blackpool when Leigh once again ran out the winners but this time it was a close game throughout with a final score of 22-18.
