Both of these 2 clubs are similar in many regards as they have built up slowly, have developed a playing style and structure that everybody knows and commits to fully and they both give their head coaches / managers the time they need to implement their plans.

That is down to the host soften struggling to full the vast stands of their home and the understandable lack of travelling support from Toulouse.

Although there have not been too many matches between he 2 sides down the years, history was made when it was Huddersfield who headed across the channel on the 12th of February 2002 to take on Olympique in their first ever Super League match.
Despite the difficulty of heading across the channel and playing in France, it was the Giants who showed there top level experience as they ran out winners by 14-42.
