Wigan Warriors v Hull KR Preview
The Wigan Warriors welcome Hull KR from East Yorkshire, across the Pennines, to Greater Manchester/Lancashire for a match up that will have a big say on both ends of the table.
The Warriors not only have one of the best starting line ups in the Super League but they also have the sort of strength in depth that most teams could only dream about.
The Robins on the other hand have a decent starting line-up and a lack of depth which means that they need to be at their very best to have any chance against the top teams.
Unfortunately for away fans, the Rovers often struggle to produce there best, especially when playing away and with them coming up against Wigan, they know that they are playing against one of the favourites for the title.
If Wigan are to really push on this season and challenge for top spot, this is the kind of game that they not should only be winning but they should be winning comfortably whilst if the Robins are to stay safe in the Super League, a surprise win in a game such as this could be just the confidence and moral boost they need.

Stadium
The DW Stadium plays host to this one and as one of the best stadiums in the competition it is a fitting venue for a game that could have a massive say on the outcome of the season for both teams.
When full, the ground is up there as the best in the competition and it can create a fantastic atmosphere and whilst it will likely be not full for this one, if the Robins fans turn up in numbers the players will have a great setting and a great atmosphere to give their best and to provide us with 80 minutes of action.

History
As two of the oldest and most successful clubs in the sport, it is perhaps surprising that they have managed to avoid each other in major finals and matches for much of their existence but there have still been some standout moments down the years.
One such occasion came in the 1985-86 season when the 2 sides met in the final of the League Cup, then known as the John Player Special Trophy, when the 2 sides played out an entertaining game that Wigan came away with the win at Elland Road in Leeds by 11 points to 8.
