Warrington Wolves vs Wakefield Trinity
The Warrington Wolves welcome Wakefield Trinity to the Halliwell Jones Stadium for this round 19 match up from the Rugby Super League.
The Wolves have shown time and time again that when on form they are amongst the top teams in the league and that they have to be one of the favourites for the title but they have also showed that they are capable of offs days, such as against Hull FC and the Dragons and it is one of those days that Wakefield will be hoping for.
With Wakefield season falling apart over the past 6 weeks or so, they are in need of a big win for a confidence boost that could set up their season for a grandstand finish and up against Warrington, this is an ideal chance to do just that.
Wakefield have won 3 of their last 5 at home but have slipped up against Hull FC and Salford in that run.
Wakefield’s form has dropped of alarmingly as of late but they will be motivated by their loss to Warrington earlier in the season were they nearly pulled off the comeback of the season only to lose by 2 points.
Whilst Wakefield have the quality to take on and defeat anybody on their day, the lack of belief in their squad has seen them move away from the free-flowing attack that impressed so much earlier in the season.
A lot of that can be put down the number of injuries they have but even at full strength it would be difficult for them to go to Warrington and come away with the points.
With Warrington having so much quality and so many players in top form, it is always difficult to back against the Wolves, especially at home and whilst they have been on the end of a couple of shocks, we cannot see another one in this one.
