Warrington Wolves vs Salford Red Devils

The Warrington Wolves welcome the Salford Red Devils to the Halliwell Jones Stadium for this round 11 match up from the 2019 Super League season in a game that Warrington will be looking to rebound from their heaviest defeat of the season whilst Salford will be looking to build on a big cup win.

The Wolves go into the round in 2nd spot but with just 2 point between themselves and Saints, Warrington simply have to keep winning to keep pace at the top. A loss will give a big boost to a number of teams looking to catch Warrington and in this make or break double header, Warrington will know that their early season form could be undone by a couple of bad performances.

Salford go into the round in 7th place thanks to their good early season form but they have struggled as of late and now they know that only a win will do to keep them in the top 8. The Red Devils will have been boosted by their huge win against Rochdale last time out, but they will know that this will be a much different level of opposition.

Warrington have won 4 of their last 5 matches and are still undefeated at home this season.

Salford have lost each of their last 4 matches in the league but they have already pulled off some big wins on the road.

Team News

Warrington bring back Bryson Goodwin and Ben Westwood but Tom Lineham is suspended and Danny Walker drops out.

Salford make just the 1 change with the injured Ed Chamberlain dropping out and Dan Murray stepping up.

Whilst Salford have the quality to make life hard for any team, we can only see a win for the home side in this one.

Warrington have so much more quality in their ranks and they will be going all out for a big win after last weeks loss at Saints and that could spell danger for Salford, who will likely make it tight in the opening 20-30 minutes but then for the Wolves to dominate.
