Warrington Wolves v Castleford Tigers

The Warrington Wolves take on the Castleford Tigers in the 2019 Super League play-offs and the great news not only for fans of both teams but for rugby fans in general is that you can watch all of the action live online via our Super League live streaming partners.

Both teams have great talent in their squads and great potential but both have failed to live up to that potential in the league over the past few months.

There are a number of reasons for that, with long injury lists hitting both hard, especially to key players but both will also know that that cannot be an excuse going forward as the play-offs simply don’t allow for it.

Whilst the Wolves league form may have dropped out, there knock out rugby has been the best so far this season after winning the Challenge Cup and they will be looking to channel those performances in the play-offs.

Form

Wolves have won just 1 of their last 6 league games but that was in their last home game.

Castleford have won 3 of their last 6 but just 1 of their last 3.

Team News

Warrington are without Matty Smith due to suspension.

Castleford are without Jesse Sene-Lefao, also due to suspension.

Prediction

If both teams were in top form and if both had all of their key players fully fit and available, this could easily have been a match of the season contender but both are well below par at the moment although with so much talent on both sides of the field and with so much on the line, it should still be set for a great game.

The experience of knock out rugby has to go with Warrington, as the cup holders and it has been in these must win matches when they have played there best rugby, so we are going to back the home side to use that confidence from winning at Wembley to stifle the Cas attack.

We expect a tight game, that will be in doubt throughout and one were defences will be on top and that plays into the hands of the home side.
