As one of the newer teams in the NRL after only been formed in 2007, the Gold Coast Titans did managed some success in 2009 and 2010 finishing 3rd and 4th in the table respectably but in the main it has all been about establishing themselves as a NRL team and building up a fan base and all off the field aspects needed to be a successful club in the world’s leading rugby league.

The clubs move from oval Carrara Stadium to the impressive rectangular Robina Stadium given the club a purpose built rugby stadium to call home.

On the field the Titans have managed to persuade many stars of the game to join their ranks with former Catalans Dragons star and Australia international Greg Bird been one of the more recognisable faces for fans of the European Super League.

As with many NRL teams at the moment, the Gold Coast titans also have featured an Englishman in their ranks with former Wigan and Hull FC youngster Matthew Russell making the move at the end of the 2012 season.
