Sydney Roosters v South Sydney Rabbitohs

The Sydney Roosters take on their city rivals the South Sydney Rabbitohs in one of the most historic and fiercest rivalries in the NRL and the great news for all Rugby fans is that you can watch all of the action live online via our NRL live streaming partners.

Both of these 2 historic Sydney teams have made in different starts to the new NRL season with the Roosters going into the round in 5th place where they are 5 places but just 2 points ahead of Souths.

With both teams expecting to be in the top 8 at the minimum come the end of the season, now really is the time for each side to start building some form, confidence and momentum but it will be a massive challenge in this derby game where it is often the team that can handle the occasion and the electric atmosphere the best that prevails.

The Roosters have now won 3 of their last 4 matches although they did lose there last home game to the Warriors.

Souths have won 2 of their last 5 but are yet to win on the road this season.

Team News

The Roosters make no changes to their squad for this one.

South Sydney welcome back Richie Kennar after injury so Dane Gagai goes into the centres with Hymel Hunt dropped into the reserves.

With such little form between these 2 teams and both showing that on their day they can almost defeat themselves, we are not expecting a classic in terms of the quality on display but we are expecting a close game and that should lead to an exciting watch.

In tight game sit often comes down to which team take their chances when on offer and it has been the Roosters who have been to more ruthless of the 2 this season and it is them who have more attacking threats, especially from open play with the running threats of Tedesco and Mitchell.

That is where we feel the game will be won and lost but if the away side can be this a low scoring affair, they could have the edge.

Score Prediction Sydney Roosters by 6
