St Helens vs Castleford Tigers

St Helens meet the Castleford Tigers at the 2019 Magic Weekend in the 16th round of the 2019 Super League season and the great news for all rugby fans is that you can watch all of the action live online via our Super League live streaming partners.

St Helens now have a 6 point lead at the top of the table but they know they will have to be much improve din the final match of the 2019 Magic Weekend after their come from behind victory over Salford in a game that saw them win the match with seconds to spare.

The Tigers may have struggled over the past month or so but as they get players back from injuries, there form will improve and they also have a confidence boost from a big win at Leeds last time out.

Whilst Saints know that they will end the weekend top of the table no matter what, Cas head into the round in 5th place but 2 points behind Hull FC in 3rd, which means a win could see them cement themselves sin the play-off picture.

Saints have now won each of their last 7 outings whilst Cas have won just 1 of their last 5 but that win came last time out at Leeds.

Team News

Saints welcome back James Roby after resting up a minor injury with Jack Welsby dropping out.

Castleford make 3 changes with Will Maher, Chris Clarkson and Daniel Smith coming in and Nathan Massey, Jesse Sene-Lefao and Brad Jinks dropping out.

As the last game of the Magic Weekend, both teams will be going all out to make a mark and to entertain and in Saints and Cas we certainly have 2 teams capable of doing just that.

Unfortunately, we have a Cas side far from full strength and far from full confidence so whilst they will create great moments, we can only see a comfortable win for Saints in this one, especially as last week’s win over Salford will have been something of a wake up call for the dominant Red Vee.
