Salford Red Devils vs Hull KR
The Salford Red Devils meet Hull KR at the 2019 Magic Weekend in the 16th round of the 2019 Super League season and the great news for all rugby fans is that you can watch all of the action live online via our Super League live streaming partners.
The Red Devils have impressed for much of the season and impressed for much of their game against St Helens but just as they have lost far too many matches this season, they lost that game at Saints. It will be fascinating to see how they react to that loss on the hooter. If they can use it as a motivator, this could be a long afternoon for the Robins but if the Red Devils are still dwelling on that loss, the Robins could take a massive step towards safety.
Whilst a win will see Salford keep pace in the play-off race, a win is arguably more important for Hull KR as they start the round joint bottom of the table but with Leeds and London meeting each other, Rovers simply need to keep the pressure on their relegation rivals.
Salford have won just 2 of their last 5 matches but came with 2 minutes of defeating top of the table Saints last time out.
Hull KR have won just 1 of their last 5 but that was over Salford in the cup.
Salford make just the 1 change for this one with Jake Bibby replacing Ben Nakubuwai.
Hull KR make multiple changes with Mose Masoe, Shaun Lunt and Will Dagger all returning from injury.
Salford will be the favourites for many but Hull KR will have the belief from their recent cup win so this game is set up to be a fascinating watch that should be full of points.
Unfortunately, Hull KR haven’t been able to replicate that cup performance in the league and with Salford out to prove a point after last week, this could be a long afternoon for the Robins.
Salford are best when on the front foot and that is what we expect them to do from the off. When you couple that with the lack of confidence in the Hull KR squad, the Red Devils should pull away to a comfortable win after a first half that could be tight in the main.
