Salford Red Devils v Hull KR
The Salford Red Devils welcome Hull Kingston Rovers to the AJ Bell Stadium in a match that is simply a must win for both teams.
In a match that brings back memories of their million pound match battle to avoid the drop, things are much more positive for the home side.
Salford start the round in the paly-offs but with things so tight, they could finish 2nd or 6th so to make sure that they not only finish in the play-offs but to give them the best chance of reaching the Grand Final, they simply have to win this one.
The same can be said for Hull KR, that they have to win, but for a whole different reason as they are one of 4 teams who start the round joint bottom of the table heading into the 29th and final round of the 2019 season.
With Rovers having the 2nd worse points difference, a narrow loss could be enough but if they are to keep things in their own hands, they simply have to pick up the 2 competition points on offer.
Salford are in great form, with wins in each of their last 6 outings.
Hull KR have won just 2 of their last 6 and just 1 of their last 4 including a loss at home to London last time out.
Salford make 2 changes with Ryan Lannon and Adam Lawton both coming back in.
Joel Tomkins is suspended for this one as the former Warriors player lost is head and tried to punch anything that moved in their loss over London. That could actually work I the Robins favour as they will have to be fully focussed in this one.
Jimmy Keinhorst is also out but on the good news front, Dean Hadley is picked despite concerns whilst Adam Quinlan and George Lawler both return.
This is a must win game for the Robins as whilst they could lose and stay up, they simply cannot rely on other teams.
Salford also need the win to keep form and confidence going into the play-offs but also to give them a better chance at an easier run to the Grand Final.
Whilst that sets it up to be a great match, it does arguably mean that Hull KR are the team under the most pressure and with Jackson Hastings looking to impress in what could be his last home game, we are going to back the home side for the in.
