Queensland v New South Wales

The Queensland Maroons take on the New South Wales Blues over on the West coast of Australia at the new and impressive Perth Stadium in the 2nd match of the 2019 State of Origin series and the great news for all rugby fans is that you can watch all of the action live online via our State of Origin live streaming partners.

For 60 minutes of the first game the match was in the balance before the Marrons put in a great 10 minutes to open up what turned out to be a winnable lead even though the Blues did fight back to give us a tense finish.

The first match was very much a case of the Queensland attack taking on the defence of the Blues and New South Wales struggled for territory but to their credit they did withstand most of it.

In this game the Blues simple have to find a way to paly more of the game in the Marrons half and to keep the pressure on their rivals if they are to have any chance of picking up the win they need to take the series back to Sydney with a chance of victory.

In this first ever game at the new home of sport in Perth, it will be fascinating to see who the locals are backing in what will be another great spectacle and hopefully another great 80 minutes of top rugby action.

Queensland won the opening match of the series 18-12 at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

The Origin matches are always difficult matches to predict, even when Queensland were at their most domain t but that is certainly not the case nowadays as things are so close between the 2.

The left edge of New South Wales did struggle last time out and their discipline did let them down but the biggest difference in that first game was the game management of Queensland.

The Maroons had all of the territory and in a game such as that, that is the best attribute you can have so we are going to back the maroons for the win although with the series on the line for New South Wales, we really wouldn’t be surprised if they come away from the west with the win.
