North Queensland Cowboys vs Parramatta Eels

The North Queensland Cowboys take on the Parramatta Eels in a battle to avoid the wooden spoon in the NRL and the great news for Rugby fans is that you can watch all of the action live online via our NRL live streaming partners.

The Cowboys start the round in last place but they are level on points with the Eels. Both sides have won just 6 of their 26 matches, which is a huge surprise as both teams have some international stars in their ranks and with the Cowboys amongst the tips for many to reach the Grand Final.

Interestingly though, despite just 12 wins all season, the 2 have managed 5 from their last 10 combined, which shows that they are starting to find some form as we enter the last rounds of the 2018 NRL season.

Form

The Cowboys have won 2 and lost 2 of their last 4 matches with both of those wins coming in their last 2 home league outings.

The Eels have won 3 and lost 2 of their last 5 and they have now lost each of their last 12 on the road.

Team News

The Cowboys welcome back Scott so Bolton is on the bench. Taumalolo returns at loose forward so Asiata also drops to the bench. That sees Lowe and Jensen go into reserve.

The Eels are without Nathan Brown so Terepo gets a start at loose forward. Evans come s back in at prop with Mannah and King both benched.

They are joined by Takairangi so Moeroa steps into the bac k row.

Prediction

With both teams struggling so badly this season, this match could go either way.

Whilst we expect a scrappy game, we are going to back the home side to put that extra bit of effort into what is a game with little on the line and that extra 5% should and will likely prove the difference.
