Manly Sea Eagles vs Brisbane Broncos

The Manly Sea Eagles take on the Brisbane Broncos in this round 9 match up from the 2019 NRL season at the first ever NRL Magic Weekend at the iconic Suncorp Stadium and the great news for all Rugby League fans is that you can watch all of the action from this match, and from ever game at the NRL Magic Weekend via our NRL live streaming partners.

Whilst Manly are the nominated home team, this match will of course take place at the home of the Broncos and they will be looking to take advantage of that as they come into this game struggling and with lots of question marks over their players and new coach.

Unfortunately for ‘home’ fans, they face a Manly side who are in great form and who have made big moves forward in the league recently and they will be looking to continue that run at the first ever Magic round.

Form

Manly are in great form and come into this one on the back of 4 wins from their last 5 outings with that 1 loss been by just 2 points to St George.

Brisbane have the opposite record with just 1 win from their last 5 matches but they have been slightly better at home with 2 wins from their last 4.

Team News

Lachlan Croker’s is injured for the Sea Eagles so Api Koroisau comes in with Fainu starting at hooker. Miski is dropped to the reserves to allow Jorge Taufua to return to the wing. Fonua-Blake is injured to Sipley starts up front.

Roberts is out for Brisbane so Staggs starts at the back alongside Shibasaki. Fledger joins the starting line up with Pangai Jr at loose forward. Turpin is at hooker with McCullough injured.

Prediction

This is a hugely difficult match to predict as the Sea Eagles are the form team but are missing a couple of stars whilst the Broncos are out of form but will be going all out to win in front of a large home crowd at the first ever Magic Round they are hosting.

This is a match that we expect to be close throughout and to be in the balance until the end and in matches such as that, it is often the team full of confidence who come through so we are going to back manly for the win.
