Leigh Centurions vs Widnes Vikings

The Leigh Centurions take on the Widnes Vikings in the final game of the 2019 Summer Bash and the great news for fans is that you can watch all of the action, from this game and every game, of the Summer Bash live via our live streaming partners.

Both of these 2 teams would have had expectations of reaching the play-offs this season but whilst the Centurions come into the round well placed in 4th place, the Vikings are down in 11th place but that is somewhat of a false position for them as they started the season on minus points.

With Widnes winning 8 of their 12 matches they should actually be level on points with Leigh and they would still have a game in hand.

That highlights how close this game is set to be and with both sides still having lots of quality despite the big turnover in players recently, we are all set for a must watch end to the Summer Bash.

Form

Leigh have won 3 of their last 5 matches but those wins have come in their last 3 outings.

Widnes exited the cup at Wakefield last weekend and in the league they have won just 2 of their last 5 but they have been close in each of those losses.

Prediction

With both teams having a good mix of former Super League players and local youngsters coupled with both sides winning 8 game sin the league this season, it is no surprise that we are going predict that this game will be close and that it will be in the balance throughout.

The big difference is that Leigh’s form is stronger at the moment and whilst they enjoyed a week off last weekend, Widnes were in a tough game at Wakey.
