Leeds Rhinos v Wigan Warriors

The Leeds Rhinos take on the Wigan Warriors win what is always a highly anticipated match up in the Rugby Super League and the great news for Rugby fans is that you can watch all of the action live from Headingley online via our Leeds v Wigan live streaming partners.

The Rhinos have made a decent start to the defence of their title and go into this round of matches in 4th place, with games in hand over a couple of the teams above them.

The one team ahead of them in the table that they don’t have any games in hand over is the Wigan Warriors, who start the round in 2nd place but with just a 1-point advantage over Leeds.

With Saints pulling away at the top and with the likes of Castleford and Hull FC waiting to take advantage of any slip ups from these 2 Super League giants, this game really is a must win for both teams in that race for the top 4.

Whilst every game between the teams battling it out at the top end of the table always take on extra precedence, there is a great opportunity for both sides to cement their positions with a win in this one and with neither team showing their best form, it could be just the confidence boost they need going forward.

Leeds have won 3 and drawn 1 of their last 5 matches but only just defeated Wakefield by 2 points last time out.

The Warriors have won 4 of their last 5 matches but they do had to battle to a win last time out as they came from behind to defeat Catalans.

Leeds have won all of their games at Headingley this season whilst the Warriors have won 2 from 4 on the road.

Team News

Leeds welcome back after injury where he is joined in the squad by the returning duo of Joel Moon and Brett Delaney.

Wigan make just the 1 change with Morgan Escare replacing Ben Flower.

Although Wigan go into this round ahead of their hosts, it has been the Rhinos who have performed the better this season overall.

The Warriors have struggled to play for 80 minutes but in the spells that they have performed, they have been able to blitz their opponents.

Against a Leeds Rhinos squad who always have a strong defence and who have some of the strongest game management in the league, the Warriors will have to play for the full 80 minutes but with no sign of that we are going to back the Rhinos for the win.

We are expecting a close game throughout and that is where Leeds excel.
