Leeds Rhinos v Hull FC

The Leeds Rhinos welcome Hull FC to Headingley Stadium for this round 23 match up from the 2019 Rugby Super League season in a game that both teams have a number of question marks over them and both teams have a point to prove.

Leeds lost against Hull FC’s rivals Hull KR last week and that see’s them go into this game just 2 points off of bottom spot. The Robins dominated Leeds in that game and the Black and White side of the city of Hull will be looking for a similar performance after last week’s second half struggles against London.

Hull FC looked like potential title winners in the first half last week but switched off and nearly blew the game in the 2nd. Up against a motivated Leeds side, they will have to play for the full 80 minutes.

Leeds have lost 3 of their last 5 whilst Hull FC have won 3 of their last 5.

Team News

Leeds welcome back Brad Singleton and Nathaniel Peteru but Ritchie Myler is suspended.

Hull FC make 1 change with Gareth Ellis back from injury but they are missing influential playmaker Albert Kelly.

Any match with Hull FC in it is difficult to predict and in many ways the same can be said for Leeds.

You have to expect a reply to last week from the home side but Hull FC are a team that tend to step it up on the big occasion. The loss of Kelly will hit them hard but they have pace and power across the park and that is something Leeds struggle with.

If Hull FC can paly with the same level of intensity as the first half against London, they should have far to much and pick up a comfortable win.

If that doesn’t happen, Leeds certainly have enough to win so whilst not even close to a lock, we are going to back Hull FC for the win.
