Hull FC vs Huddersfield Giants

Hull FC meet the Huddersfield Giants at the 2019 Magic Weekend in the 16th round of the 2019 Super League season and the great news for all rugby fans is that you can watch all of the action live online via our Super League live streaming partners.

Hull FC have started to found some form recently and with more and more of their big stars coming back into fitness, they are becoming a big threat for anybody.

Starting the round in 3rd place, the Airlie Birds know that only a win will do as they could slip to 6th with a loss but perhaps most importantly, with Huddersfield starting the round 6 points behind them, this is a chance for them to get rid of a potential play-off rival.

On the flip side of that, the Giants know that a win is a must to keep alive their hopes of the play-offs whilst with them only having a 4 point gap over the bottom 3, a loss could see them dragged back into the relegation scrap- such is the closeness of the Super League, especially for those teams in mid-table.

Hull FC have won 3 of their last 4 matches including a confidence boosting win over Warrington last time out.

Huddersfield have won just 2 of their last 5 but they did end a 3 match losing run with a win over Hull KR last time out.

Team News

Hull FC welcome back Josh Bowden after injury but Jack Logan is out after surgery. Danny Houghton and Sika Manu have injury doubts but should feature.

The Giants welcome back Alex Mellor.

This is a tough one to predict as both teams have spent most of the season performing well under par for the quality they have in their squads but whilst the Giants seem to be stuck in that pattern, the Airlie Birds have made great strides over the past couple of months or so and so long as they don’t have one of their off days, they should have too much for the Giants.

Both of these 2 teas are actually quite similar, with an almost safety first style and a lack of flash but that too should paly into the hands of Hull FC as they have the better quality in key positions.
