Huddersfield Giants v Catalans Dragons
The Huddersfield Giants welcome the Catalans Dragons to the John Smiths Stadium for this round 22 match up from the Rugby Super League in a game that will have a massive say on both teams season and a game that is looking more and more like a must win for both.
Huddersfield go into the round just 2 points off of bottom spot and knowing that a loss could see them dragged into the relegation scrap once more whilst a win could give them some breathing space ahead of the end of season run in.
For the Dragons, they have loftier ideas on there minds as they star the round in 5th place and with just a 2 points gap to Hull FC in 3rd, so they know a win could help cement a place in the play-offs.
Huddersfield have won just 1 of their last 5 outings but that did come last weekend at Salford.
Catalans have also won just 1 of their last 5 outings and that win also came last time out, at home, to Wakefield.
Huddersfield’s injury woes continue with Adam O’Brien ruled out to be replaced by youngster Dominic Young.
Catalans also make 1 change with Mickael Goudemand replacing Matty Smith.
With both sides struggling so much for form and confidence it is no surprise that this is a difficult match to predict.
Huddersfield will be boosted by last weekend’s win whilst the Dragons never seem to turn a strong home win into a good away performance so with that in mind we are going to back the home side to grind out a win but as with so many Super League games, this is one that could easily go either way.
