England Announce Bid to Host Rugby World Cup 2021

The RFL have announced that they have entered the bidding for the 2021 Rugby League World Cup.

After the successful hosting of the 2013 Rugby League World Cup it is no surprise to see that England have bid once again. The last World Cup featured some of the best action off of the field but perhaps most importantly after a disastrous 2000 World Cup, the last tournament saw record crowds overall and a record crowd for a single international as Australia defeated New Zealand in the final at Old Trafford.

England are the first country to make their bid known but rival bidders are though to be South Africa and a joint US/ Canada bid.
