Cronulla Sharks v Parramatta Eels

The Cronulla Sharks take on the Parramatta Eels in a Sydney derby from Shark Park in the 9th round of the 2018 NRL season and the great news for fans of Rugby is that you can watch all of the action live online via our NRL live streaming partners.

The Sharks went into the season as one of the favourites for the title but after a poor start they have spent the whole season to date playing catch up. The good news for their fans is that they have continued to show signs of improvement throughout the previous 8 rounds and they are now on the edge of the top 8.

Going into the round in 9th place, the Sharkies are just 2 points behind the Storm in 4th, which just highlights the importance of the 2 points on offer for the Sharkies in their battle for the top 4 whilst the points are just as important for the eels in their battle to avoid the wooden spoon.

Parramatta went into the season with lots of people expecting big things from them but due to injuries, poor form and other issues, the start to the 2018 has been nothing short of a disaster so far.

The Eels start the round in last place but they have shown signs of life recently and they are currently one of the most inform teams in the league.

The Sharkies have won 3 of their last 5 matches including wins in both of their last 2 games. At home they have won just 2 of their 4 matches this season.

The Eels have won just 2 matches all season long but those 2 victories have come in their last 2 outings.

Team News

Josh Dugan is out for the Sharks so Valentine Holes drops back to the number 1 berth.

Sosaia Feki returns on the wing whilst Wade Graham is set to paly after dropping out late last week.

The Eels make just the 1 change with Moeroa replacing the injured Tony Williams.

Whilst the Eels will head into the game full of confidence and looking to take on the Sharkies, the extra quality amongst the Sharks ranks should prevail.

The loss of Dugan will impact the home side as he sures up their defence but even with that, we can only see a relatively straight forward home win in this one.
