Challenge Cup Quarter Finals 2020

Date: Friday 18th September 2020
Catalans Dragons
Catalans Dragons v Salford Red Devils
Kick Off: 18:00
Venue: Totally Wicked Stadium
Watch Live
Salford Red Devils

Preview:

The Dragons will be going all out to prove that last week was a one off as they struggled to match Wigan but they will know that despite Salford’s league struggles, in the cup where they have nothing to lose, it plays into their hands.

Both teams love to throw the ball around so this should be an entertaining and exciting game but in a game such as that, you have to back the team with the most quality and that is the Dragons- but they must match their quality with effort.

Prediction: Catalans Dragons by 8

Leeds Rhinos
Leeds Rhinos v Hull Kingston Rovers
Kick Off: 20:15
Venue: Totally Wicked Stadium
Watch Live
Hull Kingston Rovers

Preview:

Hull Kingston Rovers defeated Wigan and pushed Saints all of the way with their expansive brand of rugby league and they will be hoping that in the competition designed for teams to take chances due to the knockout nature of the match, that style will take them to the win over the Rhinos.

The Rhino are a team that expect trophy and have a great pedigree in the cup but with upsets never far away, we are going to back the Robins for another big win.

Prediction: Hull KR by 8

Date: Saturday 19th September 2020
Warrington Wolves
Warrington Wolves v St Helens
Kick Off: 14:30
Venue: AJ Bell Stadium
TV: Live On BBC
St Helens

Preview:

The Wolves meet Saints in what should be all set to be match of the round so it will be no surprise that it is also arguably the toughest match to predict.

Both teams are full of quality and have a host of big game players and as the Wire have shown over the past few weeks when their numbers have been depleted, they have the determination to keep winning and whilst it is always hard to back against Saints, we are going to back Warrington to continue their success in the Challenge Cup.

Prediction: Warrington Wolves by 8

Hull FC
Hull FC v
Wigan Warriors

Kick Off: 17:00
Venue: AJ Bell Stadium
Wigan Warriors

Preview:

Hull FC are straight back in cup action after defeating Castleford last weekend but this time they face a Wigan Warriors side who will be targeting the cup as their best chance of success for season.

Wigan have a number of change changers whilst Hull FC have to rely more on set plays and their squad simply coming together to perform but with their levels up and down throughout the 80 minute of a game and with Wigan so consistent, we are going to back them for the win in what should be a close battle throughout.

Prediction: Wigan Warriors by 6
