Catalans Dragons vs Wakefield Trinity

The Catalans Dragons welcome Wakefield Trinity to the South of France for this huge match in the race for the play-offs and the great news for fans is that you can watch all of the action live online via our Super League live streaming partners.

Les Dracs start the round in 6th pace with Wakefield in 8th but there are just 2 points between the 2 sides and with the Dragons level with Cas in 4th, the play-offs are still in both teams hands but it is these matches between the play-off challengers that are so important.

Of course with things so tight, a loss for either will also have that team looking over their shoulders at the relegation scrap, especially with both sides struggling for form at the moment.

Form

Catalans have now lost their last 5 matches and their last 2 at home whilst Wakefield ended a 6 match losing run with a win over Huddersfield last time out.

Team News

Catalans strengthen for this one with Micky McIlorum, Tony Gigot, Matt Whitley and Kenny Edwards all returning. They are without Sam Moa and Jason Baitieri however.

Wakefield are still without a large number of their squad but they can welcome back Joe Arundel, who replaces Jack Croft whilst Lee Kershaw replaces Mason Caton-Brown.

Prediction

Wakefield can, and do, defeat anybody on their day but the trip to the South of France is always a tough one. When you couple that with their poor form recently, last week aside, and with the quality they are missing it is difficult to see anything other than a home win in this one but Catalans have shown time and time again that when they are the favourites, they can often not turn up, which makes this a hugely unpredictable game.
