Catalans Dragons vs St Helens
The Catalans Dragons take on the league leading St Helens in a round 9 match up that could have a huge say on things at both ends of the table and the great news for all Rugby fans is that you can watch all of the action live online via our Super League live streaming partners.
The Dragons are known for their inconsistent form but that has taken a whole new meaning this season as in their last 5 matches they have suffered huge defeats without scoring a single points against Wigan and Salford whilst also been able to defeat Warrington and Leeds.
That makes them a difficult team to predict and a difficult team to face, even for a St Helens team who have dominated everyone this season and who head to the South of France as the only undefeated side this season.
With that said, the Super League is so close this season that despite the Dragons going into the round in 6th place, they know that a loss could see them dragged into the relegation battle whilst a win could see them move into the top 3.
For Saints, a win will see them continue their incredible start whilst a loss could see them move off of the top as Warrington are just 2 points behind them.
Catalans have won 3 of their last 5 and they have won 3 of their 4 matches at home this season.
St Helens have won every match this season and only seem to be getting stronger.
The Catalans Dragons make just the 1 change for this one with Benjamin Jullien replacing Kenny Edwards.
Danny Richardson returns for Saints in place of Theo Fages, whilst Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook stays in the UK as he and his wife are expecting the birth of their child.
The Dragons have the quality to take on and defeat anybody on their day and they have already shown against Warrington that they can defeat teams on undefeated runs but the Dragons are so inconsistent that it is always difficult to back them.
That is especially the case this weekend as they take on a dominant St Helens side who it is difficult to see been defeated anytime soon.
Les Dracs consistently make too many errors in game sand that will be punished by the Saints as will the likely lack of discipline by the Dragons if things go against them.
With all of that said, we expect a close battle in the first half but for the Saints to pull away in the second half due to their better discipline and the extra quality they have across the park.
