Catalans Dragons vs Huddersfield Giants

The Catalans Dragons take on Huddersfield Giants from Perpignan in the South of France for this round 2 matchup from the 2019 Rugby Super League season and the great news for fans of both teams is that you can watch all of the action live online via our Super League live streaming partners.

Both teams are already under pressure despite this been only the second round of the season as both teams suffered big losses in the opening round and both showed much less than their full capability.

Both sides also struggled for much of last season and came into this season with lots of question marks about them and after round 1, those questions are still been asked and are still waiting to be answered.

The Dragons need to play well at home as they struggle on the road and after struggling so badly at the start of last season, they know the importance of making the Gilbert Brutus a fortress once again this season.

Form

Both teams suffered heavy defeats in round 1 with the Dragons going down on the road at Castleford whilst Huddersfield suffered a large shock home loss to Salford.

Team News

The Dragons make just the 1 change with Arthur Romano coming in to replace David Mead.

Aaron Murphy, Sam Hewitt and Izaac Farrell all come in for the Giants with Lee Gaskell amongst those dropping out.

Prediction

These are 2 of the most unpredictable teams in the competition which makes it hugely difficult to predict the outcome of.

Both sides have lots of quality but both are capable of playing far below their top capability so the winner of the match will simply be the team that can play at their top level for the longest.

The Dragons will be going all out for the win at home and with the Giants confidence looking so fragile last week, we are going to back the Dragons for the win.
