Catalans Dragons vs Castleford Tigers

The Catalans Dragons take on the Castleford Tigers in the South of France in a game that will have a huge say on the play-off picture this season and the great news for fans of both teams and for rugby fans in general is that you can watch all of the action live online via our Super League live streaming partners.

Catalans come into the game on the back of a great performance against London whilst the Tigers put in a strong 1st half showing against Wakefield but then fell apart in the 2nd half.

They will know that in the South of France, they will have to be at their best for the full 80 minutes against a talented Catalans side.

The Dragons start the round in 6th place but they are just 2 points behind the Tigers who start in 3rd.

Form

Catalans have won 3 of their last 5 outings but they have lost 2 of their last 4 at home including last time out against Hull FC in Golden Point.

Castleford have won just 2 of their last 5 outings but those 2 wins have come in their last 3 matches.

Team News

David Mead returns for the Dragons after injury and Brayden Wiliame is back from suspension. Fouad Yaha, Ben Garcia, Matty Smith, Micky McIlorum and Jodie Broughton are all missing for the home side however.

Cas bring in Paul McShane, Tuoyo Egodo, Chris Clarkson and Lewis Peachey with the injured duo of Oliver Holmes and Jesse Sene-Lefao been joined by Jacques O’Neill and Calum Turner in dropping out.

Prediction

This is a tough game to predict as the Tigers certainly have the quality to defeat anybody but they are struggling to play for the full 80 minutes at the moment and the one thing you know when going to the South of France is that the Dragons will make things tough for the whole game.

The Dragons are a team in form at the moment and are playing with belief and that makes them a danger for many team thanks the quality they have.

In what we feel will be a close game, the Dragons have the gamechangers to make a difference and so we are going to back them for the win but on the 2nd round of the Easter Period, anything can and likely will happen.
