Castleford Tigers vs Salford Red Devils
The Castleford Tigers welcome the Salford Fed Devils for a round 6 match up from the 2019 Super League season in a game that has all of the hallmarks of been amongst the matches of the season.
The Tigers have developed a fantastic attacking style under Daryl Powell that always makes them worth watching even though they are missing a number of their key attacking threats at the moment.
The Red Devils went into the season with little expectation on them but thanks to some strong performances this season, those expectation levels are building and on the back of their demolition of Les Dracs in France last time out, the expectation is now on them to back that up.
The Red Devils showed great attacking flair in that win, with some great off-loads but it was their non stop commitment to defend that will have impressed their coach and that they will need to replicate against Cas.
The in form Tigers have won 4 from 5 this season and are undefeated at home.
The Red Devils have played 6 and won 4 of those but perhaps most importantly they have won all of their matches on the road.
Castleford make just the 1 change for this one with Oliver Holmes returning from injury to replace Cory Aston who has joined Newcastle.
Salford make 1 change as well with Adam Walker, returning from a drugs ban, replacing Greg Burke.
If the Red Devils can play to the same level and with the same freedom as they did in the south of France, they could easily come away from the Jungle with the points, especially with the Tigers missing so many key players but over all we have to give the advantage to the Tigers.
Cas are the more consistent of the 2 and are always a difficult side to beat at home. We do expect this to be a great watch however, with both sides playing some great attacking rugby this season.
