Canterbury Bulldogs vs Canberra Raiders

The Canterbury Bulldogs welcome the Canberra Raiders for this round 12 match up from the 2019 NRL season and the great news for fans is that you can watch all of the action live via our NRL live streaming partners.

Canterbury have found the going tough this season and it is they who prop up the NRL table heading into this round but the Doggies are also in their best form this season.

The Raider son the other hand started the season strongly and even looking like title contenders but over the last month, they have dropped down the table. That drop off in form has coupled with he loss of John Bateman and with the English star set for a long stint on the injury table, the Raiders simply have to find a way to win without him but that has been hindered by the loss of Josh Hodgson as well.

Canterbury have won just 2 of their last 5 but as they have won only 3 all season, that is their best run of the season.

The Raiders have won just 1 of their last 5 and they have now lost each of their last 3.

Team News

The Doggies bring in Ogden to replace Napa who is on Origin duty with Faitala-Mariner on the bench.

The out of form Raiders are now hit by Origin call ups with Cotric, Wighton and Papali’i all out whilst Josh Hodgson is injured.

Seb Kris comes starts with Aidan Sezer is back. Horsburgh starts at prop. Tapine is in the back row with England’s Sutton on the bench. Havili replaces Hodgson at hooker. Tom Starling should make his debut off the bench.

With the Raiders looking a shadow of their early season form and missing so many players for this one, it is difficult to see where there next win will come and how they will overcome a Doggies side who would normally be their for the taking for a Raiders team who still arguably on paper have the stronger side.

With that in mind we do expect this to be a close game throughout and whilst a Raiders loss wouldn’t be a huge shock, there lack of confidence will it them hard in a close game and should see the Bulldogs hang on to any lead they take.
