Canberra Raiders vs Melbourne Storm
The Canberra Raiders take on the Melbourne Storm in a game that both sides will be looking to build on round 1 wins and there is lots of interest for Super League fans.
The all-star Melbourne Strom side are amongst the favourites to reach the NRL Grand Final come the end of the season but they know that they will face a big challenge in the Australian capital as the Raiders are a team full of quality and a team playing much better rugby in 2019.
The Raiders named 4 English player sin round 1 with the debuting John Bateman grabbing many of the headlines as the Raiders dominated the Titans in a match played in poor conditions with heavy rain throughout.
The Storm also impressed in round one as they defeated Brisbane but after dominating much of that game, the Storm did let the Broncos back into it, so they will be looking to control the game much better against the big pack of the Raiders.
Both sides have played 1 match with both sides winning in round 1.
Jordan Rapana returns from injury for Canberra which see’s Bailey Simonsson drop out.
Tom Eisenhuth is injured for Melbiurne but Kaufusi steps in.
Canberra looked strong in round one in difficult conditions but they will know that they will have to improve yet again against the Storm and whilst we would love to see the side with so many English in it win, we just cannot look past the Storm.
Melbourne simply have so much quality and so much speed in their side that the industrious Raiders will likely not be able to keep up.
