Brisbane Broncos vs North Queensland Cowboys

The Brisbane Broncos take on the North Queensland Cowboys in the first big Queensland derby of the season and the great news for fans of both teams is that you can watch all of the action live online via our NRL live streaming partners.

These 2 giants of the NRL have given us some classic matches over the past 5-10 years including one of the best NRL Grand Finals but both slipped off the pace last year and both have a point to prove in 2019.

The great news for fans is that both sides have started this season well as the Cowboys picked up a good win against St George in round 1 and whilst Brisbane lost to the Storm, they came away with their heads held high against one of the best teams in the world.

In front of around 50,000 fans at the impressive Suncorp Stadium, both sides will want to put on a show and with so much quality, that should lead to a fantastic match.

Form

Both side shave played 1 match so far this season with the Broncos losing to the Storm and the Cowboys defeating the Dragons.

Team News

Tevita Pangai replaces Lodge in the forwards for Brisbane, with David Fifita coming in to replace Sa’u.

The Cowboys make no changes to their squad but McGuire swaps with Cooper.

Prediction

These 2 sides are sure to give us a great match and one that could easily be won by either side but with a massive home backing and with the Broncos looking strong in attacking in round 1, we are going to back the home side for the victory.

We do expect the match to be close throughout and the lead will likely change hands more than once, but in the end the Broncos will prevail.
