Bradford Bulls vs Halifax
The Bradford Bulls welcome their West Yorkshire rivals, Halifax RLFC, to Odsal Stadium for this Challenge Cup quarter-final and the great news not only for fans of both teams but for rugby fans in general is that you can watch all of the action live on BCC 2.
In what is not only a surprise quarter-final match up between 2 Championship sides but a great opportunity for both to enjoy a big day out in a semi-final against a top Super League team.
Of course to do that, both sides go into this derby knowing that it will be a tough battle to pick up that all important win but one thing you have to say is that no matter which side wins and reaches the semi-final, they will both deserve to be there.
Bradford knocked out the Leeds Rhinos in the last round whilst Halifax knocked out the London Broncos a couple of rounds back.
Those shock wins will count for little for the team that loses this game that could easily be the most exciting of the 4 quarter-finals this year.
Bradford’s form has dropped off recently with just 2 wins from their last 5.
Halifax have lost just 1 of their last 5 but that loss did come last time out against Batley.
This is one of the toughest, if not the toughest, match of the round to predict.
Fax have the confidence coming into the game from their recent form but Bradford have shown that they can up their levels for these big games and with John Kear at the helm, they are always a danger in the cup.
Hopefully these 2 local rivals will put on a good show in front of a big crowd live on BBC and we expect they will.
This will likely be a close game, with the lead changing hands and that should paly into the hands of the Bulls, so we are going to back the home side for the win.
