Wests Tigers v New Zealand Warriors

The Tigers and the Warriors have little to nothing to play for in this one apart from the outside chance of the Tigers needing a win to avoid the wooden spoon. As the last game of the last round of the NRL it has to be said that this is a bit of an anti-climax ahead of the end of season finals (play offs) but let’s hope for a game full of plenty of tries for some entertainment in this dead rubber.

The Tigers have just the 1 wins from their last 4 matches and they have lost both of their last 2. At ‘home’, they have won just 1 of their last 7.

The New Zealand Warriors form is even worse with 8 straight losses coming into this one including a 1-point extra time loss last weekend to Manly. On the road, they have won just 1 of their last 12.

Team News

Both Chee-Kam and McIlwrick are suspended for Wests who bring in Wes Naiqama, Brooks and Taylor. Littlejohn drops to the bench with Seumanufagai in reserve.

The Warriors are unchanged.

With little to no form, nothing to play and a lack of quality in both teams, this is one of those matches that is really a toss of the coin.

It will come down to which team can muster the most effort and you would hope that the home team would at least want to give their fans something to cheer on the day, so we are going to back the Tigers for the 2 points.

Our Prediction: Wests Tigers by 10
