Sydney Roosters v Brisbane Broncos

The Roosters meet the Broncos in a blockbuster NRL Finals play off) match where the winner will advance to the NRL Grand Final play of whereas the loser will face another match against a team that finished 5-8 in the league.

The Roosters finished the regular season in 2nd place and just 1 place and 2 points ahead of the Broncos with both ending the season in good form.

With so many internationals and big game players in both squads, this could be a match of the year contender and is certainly a must watch.

The Roosters finished the season with 3 straight wins although those wins were by a combined 10 points.

The Broncos finished the season with 4 wins form their last 5 matches although they haven’t faced travelling down to Sydney since July and in that game, they lost to the Eels.

Team News

The Roosters bring in Napa and Guerra with Taukeiaho and Matterson dropped to the bench. Radley is named in reserve with Teetevano suspended.

The Broncos are without both Darius Boyd and Pangai Junior who are both injured. Kodi Nikorima goes to full back with Benji Marshall at half back. Mead and Arrow come onto the bench with Sam Scarlett in reserve.

This is arguably the toughest match of the first round of play off games to predict. Both teams could easily end up the champions this year and of course the best way to make it to the final is to win this game.

Aside from that blip against the Eels, the Broncos ended the season in great form and whilst the Roosters picked up wins in the last few weeks, they were only grinding out results.

With that said the Roosters have always been strong at home and with 10 wins from 12 matches at Allianz this season, we are going to back them to grind out another result in a match we expect to be close throughout.

Our Prediction: Sydney Roosters by 4
