South Sydney Rabbitohs v North Queensland Cowboys

The Rabbitohs and Cowboys have star studded squads, big fanbases and are more than capable than giving us a match of the season candidate despite their relatively lowly positions in the league.

It maybe a struggle to get that blockbuster match up in this one with it coming straight on the back of the last Origin game but it at least the last match of the round and has the best chance of delivering.

On the plus side is that both are in relatively good form and both have lots of reasons to need the win with the Rabbitohs looking to close the gap on the top 8 even more and the Cowboys looking to not only close the gap on the top 4 to keep clear of the chasing pack in the close mid to upper section of the NRL table.

The Rabbitohs have won just 2 of their last 5 matches but those 2 wins have come in their last 3 matches and in their last 5 match they lost a great derby by just 2 points to the Roosters.

The Cowboy have won 4 of their last 5 matches and 3 of their last 5 mon the road.

Team News

Braidon Burns is missing for the Rabbitohs who replace him with Robert Jenning in their only change.

The Cowboys make no changes with Gavin Cooper, Coen Hess and Michael Morgan all set to back up form Origin.

Although it is the Cowboys who have the most players backing up, we are still going to back them for the win. They have the more players in form but the Rabbitohs still have lots of talent and if they can step up the win is there for the taking especially as the Cowboys may tire late on.

Our Prediction: North Queensland Cowboys by 8
