Parramatta Eels v North Queensland Cowboys

The Parramatta Eels meet the North Queensland Cowboys in a match were the winner will progress but for the loser, it will be the end of their season. In front of what should be a massive crowd and with so much talent on both sides, this match is simply a must watch and that is exactly what you can do via our live streaming partners.

The Eels finished the regular season as one of the form teams in the NRL and by using their power and pace on the edges, they have simply been outscoring teams. That has led to many high scoring matches and lots of entertainment for those watching but it will give some hope to the Cowboys, who based their game around a strong defence.

It has been a good job that they are strong in their own half as with JT, their talismanic leader and main creator, it has to be said the Cowboys have struggled in attack. The fact that they have made it through to the finals is testament to their hard work and team unity and it will be fascinating to see who can come out on top in this match that sees 2 different styles clash head to head with both team’s season on the line.

Form

The Eels were unlucky to come away from the all-conquering Storm with a loss last week but they would have taken a lot out that 18-16 defeat and will still be full of confidence after a great end to the season where they won their last 3 matches and 9 of their last 10.

The Cowboys somewhat stuttered over the line to get into the play offs with just 1 win from their last 6 matches of the regular season but in the opening round of the finals, they defeated the reigning champions in extra time by a single point. Whilst there were a few decisions that went their way in that one, it does highlight the hard work and spirit in this Cowboys team that makes them a danger for anybody.

Team News

The Eels remained unchanged for this one.

The Cowboys name the same starting 17 with Justin O’Neill added to the reserves.

Prediction

Although the Cowboys defence is the stronger of the 2 sides, without JT their attack can be flat and that is where the Eels have a big advantage and in front of their own fans, we can only see a home win in this one.

Our Prediction: Parramatta Eels by 8
