Melbourne Storm v Manly Sea Eagles

The Melbourne Storm take on the Manly Sea Eagles at AAMI Park in the 11th round of the 2018 NRL and after what has been a big few days for both teams this weeks, there is lots of interest in this game and the great news for fans of both teams is that you can watch all of the action live online via our NRL live streaming partners.

Cameron Smith announced earlier in the week that he will be stepping down from all representative rugby to focus on his Storm career but he will not be able to help his club side in this one as he is suspended.

The under-fire Sea Eagles announced the return of Trent Hodkinson during the week but he is only named on the bench.

Melbourne go into the round in 4th place after recovering from a poor start to the season whilst the Sea Eagles have struggled all season long and go into the round down in 12th place.

Form

The Storm go into the game in good form with 4 wins from their last 5 matches and they have won each of their last 4 at home.

Manly have won just 1 of their last 5 matches but that did come last time out against Parramatta. The Sea Eagles are yet to win on the road this season.

Team News

Brandon Smith replaces Cameron Smith for the Storm whislt Hughes is on the bench.

Tom Wright is the man to make way for Hodkinson on the Sea Eagles bench whilst Toafofoa Sipley replaces Taniela Paseka.

Prediction

With the Sea Eagles struggling so badly and with the Storm looking strong, it is difficult to back any other result than a home win in this one.

The loss of Cam Smith will hit the home side and with Hodkinson set to take some part in the game, the Sea Eagles will be boosted so the game could be closer than many are expecting, but even with those couple of things, it will take the Storm having a massive off day for Manly to break their duck on the road this season.
