Brisbane Broncos v Penrith Panthers

The Brisbane Broncos welcome the Penrith Panthers to Queensland in a knock out play off match (finals) where the winner will go onto to fight another day and the loser will have their season ended.

Their can be no better setting for such an important match than the impressive Suncorp Stadium and with a full house expected, this will be a must watch match, which is exactly what you can do online via our live streaming partners.

Both teams come into this match on the back of battles last week although the home side have had an extra day to recover. With both sides playing in Sydney last week, their will be no advantage to the Broncos in terms of travel although the extra humidity in Brisbane will play into their hands.

The Panthers were one of the form teams in the run up to the end of the season and they have shown just how much quality they have in their ranks, whilst the Broncos are a team full of internationals and are always amongst the most constant teams in the NRL.

The Broncos have now lost 2 of their last 3 matches including that narrow 24-22 loss against the Roosters last weekend. Before that they had won 3 straight matches and at home they have won 8 of their last 10 matches.

The Panthers’ form dipped badly in the last couple of weeks of the regular season with back to back losses but before that they have won 7 on the trot. They returned to form last week with a win against the Sea Eagles to make it through to this match.

Team News

The Broncos make no changes to their squad but they do name both Darius Boyd and Tevita Pangai Jr in reserve.

Penrith make no changes.

Whilst the Panthers certainly have the quality to go to Brisbane and come away with a win, it would be something of a shock for them to do so.

With 50,000 Queenslanders backing the Broncos at Suncorp, it will be an Origin like atmosphere and it in that big game situation when so many of the Broncos players paly at their best.

Brisbane’s defence is much stronger than the Panthers and that is where we believe this game will be won.

Our Prediction: Brisbane Bronco by 8
